The USS Hornet is said to be one of the most haunted places in America. This particular haunted ship was brought to life in the year of 1943. This was a time when warfare was being experienced in the area of the Pacific Ocean. As odd as it may sound, this particular ship earned a number of decorations in her lifetime by the United States Navy. Destroying nearly 1,500 aircraft that belonged to the Japanese, and ruining over one million tons of shipments that belonged to the various enemies that the she had, the USS Hornet has been deemed as one of the most successful ships in the United States today. In the years in which the USS Hornet served America, which totaled right at about twenty seven, it has been estimated that over three hundred people lost their lives onboard the mighty vessel.
