Washington street ghost

My story is so very true. I would like to just start with that my fiancé, 8 yr. old daughter and I were looking for an apartment that was convenient to supermarkets, stores, etc. I was working for Friendly’s at the time, and what do you know, we found an apartment that I could get everywhere and could walk to work – and it only took me five minutes! Anyway, we moved in and right away, I felt funny. “Funny” is the only words I can use to describe it. I experienced cold chills and goose bumps constantly. I did not tell anyone because it was the perfect apartment and I did not want to freak anyone out. So, I kept it to myself.
After some time, my daughter who is currently only 8 yrs. old but was 5 and a half at the time, started to tell me her room was cold and her closet keeps opening. So, I got her extra blankets and would always make sure her closet door was closed very tight every single night. Despite the fact that I would do this for her every single night, every morning, the closet would be open. Now, I started to get really creeped out. So, I finally told my fiancé, Jack. Of course, he thought I was crazy and told me to just “let it go”. So, I did. As time progressed, I started experiencing the chills and goose bumps a lot more frequently. I also started seeing shadows around the apartment. I would just tell myself, “You didn’t see that” and I would clean a lot in order to keep my mind occupied.
One day, Maddy was at school and Jack was at the local gym. I had the day off from work. I was alone and nervous in the apartment, of course. I heard Jack come home. Our front door was located in the kitchen and you came through the dining room
to get to the living room. I heard the keys in the door, the door open, the door shut…but, to my surprise, no Jack. I looked out the window and discovered that his car was not even there!!! I was SO freaked out! I went and sat outside and waited for him to come home. I told him and he laughed at me. That is, until he actually started seeing the same shadows that I have seen. My daughter had also observed these shadows by this time, as well.
It was at this point that I was very glad that he was finally experiencing what I and my daughter had been experiencing. Now, I know that I was not crazy. A few weeks passed and we were constantly hearing unusual noises and strange sounds, but it was tolerable. That is, until one day, Jack was lying in bed – as I had been before – but, this time, it was his turn. He woke up and decided to get up to go to the bathroom. However, he could not get up! He felt pressure so hard on his chest that it restricted his ability to move and speak. That scared him half to death!
None of us will ever forget what we went through in that apartment. We moved out of it immediately after Jack’s experience. Ever since that day, I am obsessed with the paranormal. I watch every ghost show – never miss any of them. I have plenty of time to do it as I am disabled now. I have bone deterioration in both of my knees, so, I watch every paranormal show on television – never miss it. I DVR everything! I totally believe in the spiritual world and would love to go on a real adventure someday…if someone – a real ghost hunting or paranormal investigative crew – would take me. It is my ultimate dream! Thank you for allowing me to share my story!
